Practise makes perfect
Teachitright holds 11+ CEM & GL mock exams during the Easter and Summer holidays. These provide the perfect opportunity for students to practise a realistic CEM or GL paper under strict exam conditions. It is a crucial element of 11+ preparation in order for students to fully understand what is expected of them on the day and to help reduce nerves and anxiety.
There are a number of reasons why taking a 11+ mock exam with Teachitright will benefit your child:
- They will experience real exam conditions to help reduce nerves and children will be fully aware of the exam format.
- Results will be emailed out within 48 hours with a detailed personal report.
- Detailed review videos will be made available when the results are emailed for both papers.
- Our mock exams are held at a number of different locations.
- The children will get to keep a copy of the question paper.
Real exam conditions
Our locations are in large school halls which recreate a similar environment to the actual 11+ exam day. The children will take two full length papers which are 45 minutes each with a 15 minute break in between. Each paper will cover verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, English comprehension and numerical reasoning. Our qualified teachers will ensure all papers are invigilated accurately. The children will need to register 15 minutes before the exam session starts. When they register they will be given a candidate card and they will then have to find their seat in the school hall.
The results will be emailed out with 48 hours with a personal detailed report. Each area of the exam is broken down into sections and the report will highlight areas that require further development.
Full review videos will be available for both papers taken. Once the children have their results they will be able to watch the review videos for any sections of the paper they found challenging. The videos have been produced by fully qualified teachers and will give hints and tips throughout for that particular mock exam. Please note that the children will be given a copy of the question paper to take away at the end of the session which is really useful for when they review their marks and the videos.
We hold our mock exams at various locations for flexibility. Every Saturday during the summer holidays the papers will be different allowing your child to take multiple papers for practice. We hold 11+ mock exams in Windsor, Slough, Maidenhead, Reading and Gerrard’s Cross.
